New Girls 🐔

Hello everyone,

Today I was able to get pics of my 4 new girls. However, I think one is going to be a "rooster". These little chicks were raised inside in a basement and never saw the sun or the great outdoors. So we had to show them how to enter the coop at night and then how to leave the coop in the morning. This took a few days to get them to catch on. But it worked. But they never left the covered area, which took a few more days. They stayed inside the covered area and were happy. It took a few more days, and then it happened. We found them out in the yard with the other chickens. We also had a few rounds with the old rooster, but now he is getting along with the hens.

This was my first experience being around chickens that had not been outside yet, they were afraid of everything, walked like something was attacking their feet. Looked funny, but they are getting use to it all and just in time before winter hits.

Here are the old girls and the huge rooster.

These hens don't lay in the late fall and through the winter time. In late spring is when they started laying again. Sure did miss good eggs during the winter last year.

Here are the new hens, and one of the red ones might be a rooster.

New girls, two red and 2 black and white.

This pic is not very good. They are in the covered area of the pen getting some snacks for the day. More pics will come later on.

I am also waiting for 5 more hens about the same age as these, about 5 or 6 months.
I am so happy to be getting more chickens from friends.

This is Bai 🕊️

Hello everyone,

Today we have a new pic of "Bai" (the owner already named the dove). Just a quick snap, not a good one. This little guy is learning to eat on his own. Parents already have another egg in the nest as of yesterday and she is working on the second egg. Little baby is learning to stay away from them as he still begs for food, but they are teaching him to start eating on its own.

Named "BAI"

This was the only egg that hatched this time around.

October in the Possum fields ☠️🎃

Hello to all,

Today, we have a Possum in our backyard, next to where the cat stays at night.

We had the family of deer (3) a few nights ago, the baby we have watched grow up right here, he or she has lain on the side of our driveway, just a few feet from the garage door at night. The grass is all mashed down where it sleeps at night. We see in the evening, they turn on the outside lights, and I can watch them for a while. They are so cute, but do be warned, they will eat what you plant, so our fence so far is keeping them out of the yard, and my plants do not get torn apart by them like everything else does.

October - Possum

Last few nights it is getting into the 40s and 30s for temps. Fall is in full swing now, and showing nice color, and the leaves are dropping fast. The cooler temps feel great to me; not use to the hot summer we have just had.

I have been working on some new charms. I will have some pics up a little later on, so stay tuned
I will have some angels, purse charms, dangles, and other items up.

Love and Prayers,

It has come up in the years past, just no flowers.

It did open more the next couple of days, maybe called Monk's Hood, not sure.
