What is up? 🪻 It's Springtime🌹

Hi to everyone,

So not doing much, very unsettled weather this spring, but that is normal for springtime, rainstorms, windstorms, snow/sleet, you name it, and it will hit in spring. Once we are past that, it is summertime, and all will be complaining about the "hot weather".

So let the rain and all fall for now, to enjoy all the flowers this summer.
I do have daffodils blooming and buds all over. 🌻🌷

Happy Birthday Vince

Hello to all,

Yesterday we had pork roast for supper, and German chocolate cake
for dessert.
It was Vince's birthday. It was a good day. I put one candle on the cake,
so he could make a wish and blow it out. 😍

Today, it snowed just enough to cover the shed top and some grass.
It is melting off really fast now.

Really warm days are coming this week, can't wait.

The gout on my foot is getting better; most of the pain is gone now, but
the swelling will not go away. Guess it needs more time to heal.

NEW- Bookmarks 😍

Hello everyone,

Today we have some more new bookmarks. Hope you will like them
as much as I do. These have a theme about them for a change.
You can click on the picture for a larger view of the bookmarks.
These on this page are the large bookmarks.

Horse Lovers Bookmark

St. Pat's Day Bookmark

Lobster Day Bookmark

Valentine's Day Bookmark

I make large and small bookmarks. Why? You may ask! Because not
all books are the same size, some are tall, and others are shorter. So
the length of the bookmark charms varies from long to short. Some
are even lighter, for the more like a paperback book or magazine.

Will try to post more tomorrow.
Thanks for coming by for a view now and then.

New beaded bracelets

Hi everyone,

Here are some pics of my new beaded bracelets I made. These are called
Country Garden Paths. Lots of fun to make.  They use a round, sparkly,
strong magnet for a closure.
While Gout is keeping me from walking so much I sit and make some
pretty to wear.

Flowers in Winter

Hello all,

Today this is the 3rd or the 4rd year for my orchids to bloom. I do nothing
special for them only water when dry and overhead light in the plant room.

I have not even fed them yet, and I'm not sure what to use.

Here is a pic of them again this year

🥶Cold🥶

Morning to all,

Well, it was -4 this morning. Now it is 3 degrees out. The sun is out but not warm.
Our nasty winter this year has ice and snow going, and we still have ice on the limbs
of the trees right now. Never gets warm enough to melt it off.
We are feeding birds like crazy right now, doves, woodpeckers, red birds, and
all the rest of them thick right now wanting something to eat. So we feed them.

We are warm and cozy, even if the electricity goes out, we have back up and don't have
to worry about anything. Thank God.

Summer is coming, and I need spring real bad, have a huge log of marigold seeds
saved from last summer, I plan to plant them all this spring.

Been working on some more blocks yesterday, and today I will add lace to them.

My Gout is getting better and better.

Gout? 🤬

Morning to all,

I have now been fighting Gout! What is it? Oh, the stories I could tell you each
and every time it rears its ugly head. YEP! Once again, I got the big head and decided
that I could eat a little more meat than I should have. Not that I am overeating, not
that at all. It means that I made several different dishes using hamburger meat
instead of ground pork. I did these meals in a row, so to speak. All it took was me
having a small "steak" one night, then the next night we had a hamburger dish,
and I had some of that, then another a few days later. Needless to say, that is all it
took. My right foot has swollen up and has stayed that way now for over a week.
No need to see a doctor because they can not do anything for it. I just got too comfy
eating the red meat that I love. That is all it took.

Now, for over a week, a very painful, swollen foot. I think it is about to run its
course. I hope so. Will be a long time before I eat red meat again. I was doing great
for about 5 years, no problems, but you have to allow me a steak on my birthday
now and then. It had been so long, though it would not happen any longer, well, I
guess I proved that wrong. So for the rest of my life, it is red meat only once a
month, never any more than that. I should then be good to go.

I know one thing. If I could get my foot high enough to kick me in the butt, I would.
was being very reckless and did not even notice it. Got to admit, 5 years is a long
time, but I just proved it can still happen if you get a little too complacent.

The Eagle 🦅🪶

Hi all,

I wanted to share with you all the pic of the Eagle that Larry T. and Nita T.
did together, and placed it on the garage doors, or at the top between the
two doors. This thing was huge, I am not sure where it disappeard to by the
time we got here. But I have the pattern and will be trying to make it.

I love it so much. Larry cut it out, and Nita painted it.

I hope to do this in the coming summer.
I would love to make some for sale this summer.

Orange Pearl Pied Ringneck doves

Hello to all,

Today I have my next two doves looking for their forever home. They are
4-5 months old and healthy. Not sure of sex as of yet. Neck rings don't show
because of their age. They are listed on Craigslist and Hoobly to help get
the word out.
They are trained to drink out of a tube for water, to help keep water clean. They
are friendly. The person who adopts them will need a large cage. I hope they
will find a nice home with people who really love them and will take care of
them.
I prefer their forever home to be a non-smoking home; their tiny lungs don't need
to sit in an environment that is not healthy.

Orange Pearl Pied Ringneck Doves

They will need a large cage so they can be comfy. Large enough to take a bath in.
They make the neatest sounds, cooing all day long.

This is a huge many-trunked plant loaded with white blooms and lots more yet to open.
You should be standing in there to smell all the goodness.

HAPPY NEW YEAR - FROSTY'S CLUB - 🦜

Hello everyone,

Wanted to say Happy New Year to each of you. May your new year be happy and
full of joy.

I am busy trying my best to grow our Facebook group. If you are reading this and
have not joined with us, please do. It is all about crafting and flowers outside once
the snow melts. 🤣 We got more snow today, about an inch or so. But don't worry,
summer is not far away.

Be sure to check the "Frosty's Club" tab at the top of my site. If you have any
questions, email me or post here. I will try my best to answer them all.

Under the "Frosty's Club" tab, you can read more about it on the site. I am getting
that started, so if you are not sure, ask me. I will be uploading some zip files in the
"Files section" in the Facebook group.

The ones with the (PWP) in the title or name of the ZIP, do not download them unless
you are in the "FROSTY'S CLUB". This means the zip file is "password" protected,
and unless you are in the club, you will not be able to open the zip.

FROSTY is waiting for you to join the club

Join my Facebook group, and all the info about Frosty's Club is in the files
section. CLICK the tab for Frosty's Club for the link to the Facebook group.

Members of the club will be given the password for that month. Passwords will
always be different, never the same. All you do is copy and paste into the zip
when it asks you for the password.  The designs will be opened to send to where
you want them to go. Make sure you open the zip where you want the files to go.

Be sure to back up your files once you have unloaded them to your computer. You
"donate" on my site under the tab at the top called "Frosty's Club". Click on
samples, and at the bottom of the page, you will find the "donate" button. If you
have any questions, please don't hesitate to send me an email.

I will have between 20 and 30 designs (sometimes more) once a month, the new
designs go up, and the last month will be taken down. I will keep them on my
computer in order by month. So if your computer crashes, and you have donated
(records will show), I can resend them to you.

The club will start in January 2026.

Hope all will enjoy this little club,

Merry Christmas ~ Tippy Toes 🐈‍⬛

Hello to all,

We decided to upgrade the living area for the cat that owns us now.  So my
husband got this new bed for Tippy Toes. We have placed it into the covered
dog kennel where he was sleeping. It fits perfectly, and I placed the PetSafe
heated mat under the removable pad inside the new cat bed.

I thought it would take some time for him to get used to it, but NO, that
evening he went right in like it had been there all the time. We feel that this
smaller covered snug area set inside the kennel, which is covered with a
sleeping bag, also helps keep him warmer in the wintertime.

So, now, he is comfy in his new home.

Tippy Toes ~ 2025

Yes, I used one of his pictures and photo shopped him in, not perfect,
but he wanted HIS picture in the new bed shot, so I had no choice. 😇🐈‍⬛

Happy Thanksgiving to my chickens

Hello,

Today it's snowing now and then. Not enough to see on the ground yet.

Today is Thanksgiving, and so I have fixed a feast for them. Today they get canalope, lettuce, grapes,
tomatoes and hard-boiled eggs along with their treat feed, and some bread broken up into small pieces.

No, they are not spoiled. Today, they get this each and every day. I like happy chickens.
They repay me with their colored eggs.

My chickens, Happy Thanksgiving!

I know they enjoy heated water and heaters inside their coop for when it does get cold.

 Margo
