Cactus "red" flowering 🥀

Hello to all, 

I found this on my upper deck. This is the first time it has 

flowered since we left Alaska. The plant is covered in buds. 

Makes me happy. 😍

We left AK. back in 2011. So that is a long long time with no 

flowers. It always seemed to put on buds while in the house, 

but they never developed to flower before they dropped off. 

All it needed was a lot of sun and hot temps to make it happy. 

Right now, it is on our upper deck outside, where the green 

house roofing is located.

Serger Quilt Fun 😍

Hello to all, 

I had a lot of fun making this quilt. I used my serger putting the front and 

the back together with batting all in one step. It was fun and FAST. I loved 

this so much I will try to make a larger one. This one was done when we 

were in Alaska. I had a small porch swing. Our swing set now here in W.V. 

is much larger, so I will have to get to work on making this new one. 

The back also looks just like the front; each block has embroidery on it. 

I just surged the edges of the quilt as you go, and you are done.

Halloween Placemats 🎃

Hello to all, 

I have made 4 placemats using my scraps. I got a kick out of doing them. 

I had fun playing around with different things, Now I want to start making some 

for Thanksgiving.

Dog Quilts 🐩🐕

Hello everyone, 

I started this in Ohio, but we moved, so now I can start work on them 

again. I have about 8 or 12 large 9 blocks stitched up with an applique 

angel on the center one, I have yet to stitch up the rest of the quilt. I 

will hunt a place around here to see if they have "no kill" shelter for 

dogs and cats.

What I had in mind making these, it that for some dogs who are scared 

and feeling lonely, they need a "pick me up" quilt so they can cuttle up 

with it or sit or lay on it. Something just for them, that can go with them 

when they find a forever home. They are washable and have nothing on 

them that could hurt them. Here is just one pic of what they are like.

I am sure they will enjoy getting a little something just for them alone.
